Although our country hosts different identities, discrimination and exclusion have always been on our agenda. This year has seen the largest single rise in discrimination issues like hate speech, xenophobia and racism in Spain against LGBTI community, African and Afro-Descendant population and Roma community. This problem also exists in Europe. For example; a politician was convicted for burning Korans in Denmark, a German politician was criminally charged for calling migrants “scum.”, a Baptist minister was jailed overnight for preaching against homosexuality and a man was investigated for telling a Nelson Mandela joke in England. It is obvious that there is a need to tackle with discrimination against minorities in Europe. Research shows that more people value cultural diversity if society learns effectively how cultural diversity enriches cultural heritage, thus showing that more people are contributing to society economically and socially. It is also stated that the development of this consciousness within the society can be achieved by the development of intercultural dialogue and awareness-raising process and artistic expressions are the most easy and powerful way in a short time for the development of intercultural dialogue (Dümcke & Gnedovsky, 2013;Jääskeläinen 2019). When we ask our youngster in our target group about which form of the artistic expression can be used, most of them stated that music could be used as they have experience in music. Therefore, we decided to organize a youth exchange to create awareness among youth about discrimination against minorities and to encourage them to establish intercultural dialogue between different social and cultural groups through music, to bring cultures closer and thus contribute to the efforts to strengthen the inclusiveness of the European Union with the collaboration of four international organizations from Turkey, France, Bulgaria, Latvia and Germany who are dealing with discrimination problem against minorities in their communities. Based on these determined needs, we specified objectives of this project as follows; * Participants will improve their competences about the concepts of culture, cultural similarities and differences, stereotype and prejudice, discrimination and components of cultural dialogue, * Participants will be informed about the problems and good practices regarding discrimination and intercultural dialogue experienced by different social and cultural groups in international level, * Participants will improve their competences on ecological footprints, the interconnections in ecosystems, environmental sustainability and how to make lifestyle choices which improved their quality of life and reduced their negative impact on the environment. * Participants will improve their competences on music, communication, intercultural dialogue, creativity and and teamwork and they will use music as a tool to develop intercultural dialogue and to take an active role in their communities, * Participants will be informed about opportunities of the Erasmus+ and youth mobility and to encourage them to take part in other projects and cooperate in the future.
