The idea of the Open Sky Neighborhoods project arose in the Vite neighborhood of Santiago de Compostela with the aim of promoting social inclusion, healthy living habits, responsible use of free time in young people from peripheral neighborhoods, and increasing their European awareness. We think that urban art and culture, a topic of great interest to young people, is the perfect framework to develop our objectives. In this project, young people from the neighborhoods of Vite (Santiago de Compostela) and the Oeiras City Council are going to meet for a few days. Young people constitute a very heterogeneous group whose needs are linked to their own life trajectories, adolescence and youth are crucial stages of the life cycle, during which processes are triggered that drive decision-making that helps for better or worse in its development. This range of population shares problems and uncertainties about the future in a world of accelerated changes from a political, economic and sociocultural point of view. Actions aimed at ensuring that there are no exclusion processes due to problems of social and economic progress, at a particularly difficult time for many families with adolescents, at a time of pandemic, job instability and rupture of established normality, in many cases ruptures within the family environment, due to consumption problems, emotional instabilities, lack of norms and a serious immaturity, which encourages them to be manipulated by equal others with more leadership, which is why we must take into account the perspective and tools that this group has to face. to the world. General and specific objectives: Consolidate intercultural integration. Approach and active participation of young people. Promote a positive climate within the group.
