The Youth Exchange '' Di NO a la radicalización ‘‘will be held in Kobuleti, Georgia from 04.09.2022 – 13.09.2022 including 2 travel days. The project promotes active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity. Young people are affected by constant changes in global social and economic realities, and many face poverty, exclusion, inequality and marginalization. Their personal circumstances and the wider political, social and economic environment they live in can make them vulnerable to a variety of radical effects, as well as severe radicalization. The facts of the rising trend make it necessary to emphasize the need to work with young people in Europe and neighboring regions to strengthen their resistance to severe radicalization and to strengthen the openness and inclusiveness of their communities Violent extremism presents a serious threat to the security of the societies and the democratic values they are based on. Our goal is to reach marginalized young people, to improve diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights, and media literacy, critical thinking and youth's sense of initiative. The overall objective of the project is to prevent violent extremism and youth radicalization. The project has the following specific objectives: - equip a group of youth from six EU and non-EU countries with advanced knowledge and skills on how to promote critical thinking and increase media literacy among marginalized youth at higher risk of youth radicalization; - promote innovative methods and tools for deconstructing extremist narrative; - contribute to building resistance to violent extremism and individual and community level; - promote joint initiatives of nongovernmental organizations and other stakeholders in preventing youth radicalization; - foster intercultural dialogue; - promote positive narrative; - Solidarity, peace, tolerance, and cooperation.
