With this project we want to offer the opportunity to young people with learning difficulties and social difficulties to step out of their environment, to meet young people from a neighboring country and to open up new horizons. Through non-formal and intercultural education activities we promote their socio-educational integration, combat prejudices and stereotypes and foster mutual respect and solidarity between young people from diferent countries and continents. Through different group activities and artistic creation processes the young people will develop their social skills and cooperation skills. Furthermore we foster the motivation to learn other languages, and in this way we contribute to a positive attitude concerning learning and studying in general. Another objective of this project concerns the community development in the Béni Makada neighbourhood in Tanger, which is one ot the main objectives from the association Chifae. With the help of the international group, a research workshop with interviews with the neighbours on their costums and intercultural experiences, the participation of neighbours in the cooking workshop, the creation of a graffiti with a message concerning positive interculturality and the public presentation of the results from this youth exchange, we want to promote pacific intercultural coexistence and solidarity between young people, as well as active youth participation. We want to open up minds and bring closer together the people living in both sides of the Mediterranean sea.
