Objectives

Our project, "EntrepreneurSelf," brought together partner countries from Spain, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Jordan, Georgia, and Tunisia. It was aimed at 26 youth workers who are actively involved with partner organizations or are working as trainers and facilitators. These participants were youth workers, young social entrepreneurs, and managers of youth projects, all with an interest in social entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. The project sought to empower participants who identify as social entrepreneurs and are committed to enhancing their social and economic well-being through continuous learning in their business life. Youth work in entrepreneurship is crucial for disseminating and implementing socially and ecologically responsible ideas, especially among young people from vulnerable groups facing geographic, social, cultural, and economic barriers. These groups often lack access to start-up capital, a challenge that cannot be addressed through traditional methods alone. Our project emphasized the importance of experiential learning over inherent entrepreneurial traits, advocating for public policy to support money, education, and experience for young entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a significant driving force in local, national, and global economies. Entrepreneurial-minded individuals not only create jobs and wealth but also lead industry sectors by fostering an innovative spirit. Our aim was to cultivate an entrepreneurial culture among youth workers, enabling them to maximize economic and social success on various levels. By instilling an entrepreneurial spirit and foundational principles, we wanted youth workers to develop the skills needed to support young people in realizing their business ideas. The project provided extensive information and knowledge through case studies, best practices, and real-world examples from across Europe. Topics covered included entrepreneurship, success stories of entrepreneurs, the role of NGOs in supporting young entrepreneurs, informal methods and tools, study visit in business incubator and coworking space. Aligned with the Europe 2020 strategy to boost employability in Europe, the project created a creative space for participants to discover their unique values, create and maintain a personal brand, set goals, and promote themselves through various tools and channels. The main objectives of the project, aligning with the Erasmus Plus program, were: - Helping participants through different self-reflection and group work to discover new methods that can guide youth workers to discover their personal values, career values , and professional interests and to discover creative ways to shape their personal brands according to them; - To help participants explore all possible career options, using the history we will collect in profiling exercises to learn more about the labor market and employee expectations. The specific goals of the project: - To help participants discover new informal methods in the field of personal branding to be used in their work with young people from sending organizations (personal values, career values , and professional interests, creative ways to shape their personal brands); - To create an international platform where methods can be loaded; (accessible from participants, professional advice from experts, tests, and exams, and accessible to any young person at the European level interested in developing their personal branding); - Improving networking, multicultural awareness and exchange of best practices, and greater collaboration among nonprofits, with a focus on personal branding, social entrepreneurship, and talent management; - To create a network of youth workers who develop and implement activities in the field of entrepreneurship for youth workers.
