The ninis were young people who neither worked nor studied. They are one of the weakest sectors of society, they had no possibility of a salary to be independent, nor the opportunity to grow their skills to facilitate their introduction into the labor market. This was due to a lack of knowledge and the right mindset that negatively influenced their lives and diminished their chances of finding a job. According to Eurostat data, 17.6 % of people aged 20-34 in the EU in 2020 were not in employment, education or training (ninis). COVID had detrimental effects on them: the ninis were, in fact, the most affected by the negative effects of the pandemic, as youth unemployment increased rapidly in the last year and the pandemic restriction caused them feelings of isolation and abandonment. The project aimed to train a group of young people from six different organizations to provide them with specific skills in the area of entrepreneurship with the ultimate goal of enabling them to create specific activities to promote the empowerment of the ninis once they returned to their countries. YW would share the knowledge acquired during the project with the ninis in their local communities, and could positively contribute to their inclusion in society and the labor market, with a positive impact on their lives. After reviewing the European Commission Report entitled "EntreComp: The Entrepreneurship Competence Framework", we concluded that entrepreneurship was a transversal competence that en abled people from all walks of life to develop their personal growth, consciously integrate into society, re-enter the labor market as self-employed or employed, and undertake action plans (cultural, social or commercial). The project's target audience was youth workers (YWs), who regularly interacted with young ninis and young people seeking career development. NEEDS: The project focused on two main needs: 1. The needs of the YWs within the associations in the search for a strategy to incorporate young ninis into the labor market. 2. The needs of the ninis in the partners' local communities, who then had little chance of getting a job. OBJECTIVES: The main objective was to provide young people with the necessary skills and techniques to create activities that would increase entrepreneurial awareness among youth and ninis in order to encourage their participation in the labor market and their sense of initiative to develop their potential. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: - Provide youth with the necessary tools and competencies to establish youth entrepreneurial mentoring programs, educate youth on a set of activities they could replicate to empower ninis through entrepreneurial skills development and education. - Foster a vibrant entrepreneurial attitude among ninis. - Encourage the development of an efficient mindset among participants in terms of making them more proactive and risk-taking. - Encourage active participation of youth in the community, promote social integration of ninis in the community. - Promote critical thinking, thoughts and their development towards practical steps. RESULTS: The solutions brought about by the project were: Increasing entrepreneurial competencies such as those included in the Entrepreneurial Competency Framework within YW, who were ready to share how much they had learned with the ninis in the local communities. In particular: 1. Insight, innovation and creative thinking were defined as the ability to imagine the future, develop ideas to generate value, convert information into practice, behave appropriately and assess the sustainability of goals and activities. 2. Awareness and determination, as the ability to understand one's strengths and weaknesses, maintain focus on a goal, and be competent and persevering in the face of difficulties. 3. Strategy, leadership, making the effort and assessing risk as the following: accepting difficulties, creating long-term goals, being adaptable and creative, improving problem-solving skills, exploring and analyzing. 4. Within the target group: - Improve mental and interpersonal competencies. - Improve communication and language skills. - To foster a better understanding of the notion of entrepreneurship. - Promote entrepreneurial mindsets and a strategic approach by providing knowledge and best practices. - Improve participation in their social environment.
