We wanted to make youth work greener and inspire not only people who work with young people, but also young people themselves, to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. We wanted to raise awareness about the current situation of biodiversity loss, rising sea levels, etc., and the need to act NOW to combat climate change, so that future generations can call this planet home. Who, if not us, will stand up for the rights of our planet? We have to be the change we want to see in the world, starting at the individual level to trigger the necessary changes in our communities and spread them throughout Europe and beyond. The objectives of this project were - To bring together 16 youth workers in Covelo for a 6-day training course. - To raise awareness of the impact our daily choices and lifestyle have on the environment. - To experience affordable and simple sustainable alternatives to reduce our individual ecological impact, encouraging sustainable attitudes and inspiring to choose a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. - To exchange best practices on (non-formal) environmental education. - To inspire youth workers and young people to initiate and participate in climate action. - To increase knowledge about the European Green Pact and the European Climate Pact. - To organize 8 awareness raising events and create and disseminate 8 articles about the project. - To promote the opportunities offered by the E+ program and the European Solidarity Corps to initiate local and international projects.
