Objectives

Every living thing has a unique set of personal history based on their experience, thoughts, and feelings. Sharing those stories with others can be a powerful tool, changing attitudes and inspiring both sides: those who hear the stories and those who tell them. Different and contradictory information, however, is the background on which we operate. Information is often used as a means of manipulation, seeding of radical ideas, extremist and negative discourse, and we, the NGO teams, consider that this is detrimental to youth, claiming their proactive behavior and civic participation, blurring their sense of justice, commitment, inclusion, incite fears and stereotypes, creating marginalized groups that demonstrate their identity in a destructive way. Changing this context can be achieved precisely through an instrument such as digital storytelling, which is richer and more effective through the use of digital media such as images, videos, and audio files. Through it, the focus of the conversation will change, since it will be based on first-person, emotional, authentic and intimate stories. The creation of a personal/organizational narrative and its digitization through multimedia tools are the two aspects of digital storytelling, but its application requires certain skills, knowledge and practice to achieve the desired effect that NGO teams often do not possess. . The possibilities of digital technologies have turned anyone into a potential storyteller, but digital storytelling is more than just telling a story. It is an inclusion tool that involves the community and can be used in different contexts to solve complex social problems. Digital storytelling helped organizations to give a human face to abstractions such as freedom, tolerance, solidarity, etc., to promote universal values and fundamental rights, to disseminate their performance and results more efficiently and, in doing so, to be a sustainable society. The main objective of the project was to improve the quality of youth work by training youth workers with the necessary skills to use digital storytelling in their daily work, thus reaching out to marginalized youth, promoting diversity, intercultural dialogue and interfaith, etc. Goals: 1. Develop youth workers' knowledge of digital storytelling and ways to apply it in their work daily. 2. Develop skills of young workers in the creation of digital stories and for the dissemination of the results of your work. 3. Develop the ICT skills of young workers and encourage them to use digital technologies at work daily. 4. Prepare follow-up projects, applying in practice the skills acquired during the training.
