Apart from the specific objectives described below, the project is connected to the program's horizontal priorities of Digital Transformation- utilising digital tools and methodologies with the goal of enhancing youth's digital skills- and with the pursuit of Inclusivity & Diversity- approaching and including youth from groups facing different barriers. The project's objectives are as follows: ● to empower youth through digital, social, and communication skills, with a particular emphasis on youth with fewer opportunities facing different barriers (geographical, socio-economic, disabilities), from under-served and socially excluded communities in Spain, Greece, and Italy ● to educate youngsters on how they can establish their own storytelling digital space, using it for connecting with other young people and highlighting topics that are important to them. ● to increase young people's sense of initiative, ● to raise awareness about EU opportunities and bring a European dimension to a local level, inspiring youth to seek opportunities in the European Union; to foster a positive attitude towards the EU and its democratic values with young people serving as multipliers of EU values
The beginning of this project can be traced back to a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people in Spain, Greece and Italy. In response to the findings of the Eurobarometer and Youth Survey reports, which underscored a prevailing feeling of unawareness of youth voices on the part of the European Union, the project emerged as a proactive solution to bridge this gap. Recognizing the importance of providing a platform for expression and connection, especially for marginalized youth who face barriers, the genesis of the project lies in the collective effort to empower youth through digital tools and storytelling methodologies, particularly podcasting. Based on the belief that active youth engagement is vital to the future of the European community, the project seeks to address social challenges and amplify the voices of marginalized youth, contributing to a more inclusive and empowered European youth population.
