The Keski-Suomi design, arts and crafts association Materia ry (Keski-Suomen muotoilu- ja taideteollisuusyhdistys Materia ry) promotes professional design, arts and crafts.The association represents the general and common interests of independent designers, makers and artists and exercises profession help to improve the general operational preconditions in the creative industry, to promote Materia members and general cross-sectoral collaboration. The association has experience in organizing art exhibitions and sales events: traditional sales event, pop-up events and web sales like on-line store and art rental. We place special emphasis on educational entrepreneurship, by which we mean the progress and development of entrepreneurial profiles that are capable of being part of social change. This is done through the personal development of entrepreneurial skills related to people's ability to put their own ideas into action.
