The aim of our project was to complement the achievement of the goals of our previous KA1 project, which was unfinished due to corona restrictions, while at the same time creating established practices for international high school cooperation for the future. We aimed, on the one hand, to enable more teachers to participate in international activities and, on the other hand, to deepen our competence in the implementation of team pedagogy and in the design of the content of the European Union-related team learning period. In addition, our goal was to involve not only staff but also students in active Erasmus activities by providing them with opportunities for mobility and virtual working with European high school students. The main focus of student activities was in French and German, as our goal was to increase interest in the study of several foreign languages. During the project, we aimed to find models of international cooperation suitable for team learning and other school work, as well as long-term partners. Our goal with this project was to pave the way for a future accreditation project.
Kiiminki High School is a general upper secondary school in Oulu with about 300 students and 20 teachers. Our school has been involved in Erasmus for many years: we have participated in both KA2 and KA1 projects. The project this time was planned as a continuation of the previous project, which was partially unfinished due to corona, so we continued to work on the goals we defined during the previous project. Our goal with this project was also to familiarize ourselves with new forms of activity (e.g. students' KA1 group mobility) and to acquire long-term partners for the Erasmus accreditation that we had planned for.
