Our goal was to lift our international operations to the level where they were pre-pandemic, and to ingrain internationality as a part of our organisation's regular work. By unifying the common practices within our organisation and by deepening and creating strong and trustful partnerships we wished to enhance and ease student and teacher/staff mobilities. During the on-the-job learning periods abroad, our students gathered valuable international experience. They learnt about their fields of study and they also developed as human beings. Additionally, they learnt about the surrounding world. For teachers the job-shadowing periods offered great possibilities to increase knowledge, but also to create and strengthen international contacts and create new international learning environments.
We applied for this project to develop, strengthen and unify our international operation. We have always been an internationally active vocational college, but the lack of common practices within our organisation has brought challenges when organising mobilities. With this project we hoped to deepen the cooperation with our existing partners and also to form new long-term partnerships with other European countries. For our students we wanted to offer an opportunity for short-term learning mobilities, and for our teachers we wanted to offer an opportunity for job-shadowing periods.
