Objectives

This Erasmus+ project was designed as a Mobility Project for Higher Education students and staff within programme countries, and potentially partner countries. Mobility activities are a crucial part of the University of Turku’s internationalization strategy. Therefore, we aimed to maintain at least our usual level of Erasmus+ mobility activities, including student mobilities for studies and traineeships, and staff mobilities for teaching assignments and training. Additionally, we intended to introduce the new model of short exchanges, the Blended Intensive Programme. According to the Erasmus Policy Statement of our university: “The Erasmus+ programme is the foundation for organizing student and staff/teacher mobilities and for providing learning outcomes beyond the UTU campus. Our students build individual degrees by selecting the most inspiring study modules from our multidisciplinary study tracks and from the curriculum offered by partner universities. We continuously develop pedagogical and digital solutions in teaching and studying. International benchmarking and joint development assist us in this task, particularly in creating blended mobility opportunities.”
