Objectives

The project was designed to achieve three key objectives: enhancing the skills and motivation of youth workers and volunteers, increasing youth engagement in society through life skills development, and supporting young people's participation in civic activities. Objective 1: Enhancing the skills and motivation of youth workers and volunteers We aimed to deepen youth professionals' understanding of international youth work and policies, strengthen their networks, and equip them with new tools for their work. In the Award in Europe 2.0 project, youth workers, many of whom work with disadvantaged youth, gained practical strategies for mentoring and supporting these groups. The project emphasized creating a safe space for all participants, allowing them to share experiences and best practices. This approach helped build a stronger network of youth workers across Europe. Objective 2: Increasing youth engagement in society through life skills development Our goal was to empower young people to step outside their comfort zones, explore their potential, and build self-confidence. The Saving Our Nature youth exchange was central to this objective, engaging participants in sustainability activities such as reducing plastic use and minimizing food waste. The project brought together youth from diverse backgrounds, to learn practical skills for sustainable living and reduce climate anxiety. Objective 3: Supporting youth participation in civic activities We sought to encourage young people from diverse backgrounds to recognize their strengths and engage meaningfully in society. Projects like Award in Europe 2.0 and Saving Our Nature provided platforms for participants to design and lead activities, fostering skills in dialogue, critical thinking, and civic engagement. These experiences promoted EU values and empowered young people to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society.
