Erasmus+ global funding was essential for the Health Africa Network/Consortium to continue long-term cooperation between Finnish HEIs and partner institutions in Kenya and Uganda. The project facilitated mobilities with both countries, enabling cooperation that wouldn’t have been possible without this funding, despite its limitations. The main goals of the project were to: Enhance Global Perspectives: Provide students, teachers, and staff with a global perspective, enriching their understanding of diverse cultures, health systems, and educational practices. Professional and Personal Development: Offer participants the opportunity to develop professional skills in teaching, research, and healthcare, as well as personal skills like adaptability and cultural sensitivity. Strengthen Partnerships: Deepen existing collaborations between Finnish HEIs and institutions in Kenya and Uganda, promoting long-term cooperation. Promote Educational Innovation: Inspire creativity in teaching and learning methods through exposure to different educational environments. Contribute to Global Health Education: Equip participants with knowledge to address global health challenges, supporting higher education modernization in this field.
