The Erasmus+ mobility action has been a key instrument for the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) in achieving its strategic goals related to education and internationalisation – including within this project. JYU’s objectives include, among others, the development of internationalisation skills for all students, the enhancement of education through international cooperation, and the strengthening of researchers’ international networking as a central means of improving the quality of research activities. Through student and staff mobility funded by KA171, the following concrete goals were pursued: 1) Broader opportunities for internationalisation at home for students who do not participate in physical mobility 2) Exchange of good practices in teaching and curriculum development 3) Development of support services and administrative processes 4) Improvement in the quality of teaching through incoming and outgoing teacher visits 5) Initiation of new research collaboration initiatives The project also aimed to enhance JYU’s attractiveness among applicants and potential new staff members, as well as to strengthen the motivation and commitment of current employees to their work at the university.
