O4: To encourage students to stand up for and take action for the environment. O5: To promote the students' skills to cooperate with their peers on the subject matters of the project and thus help them to develop their foreign language and ICT skills and to understand their roles as active European citizens in a common European community. 06: To encourage tolerance among pupils and educational staff coming from different cultures.

Background

Climate change is already causing a wide range of impacts. These climate impacts threaten both the environment and our society. The EU aims to be climate neutral in 2050. The schools have a vital role in educating the students to be aware of the prevailing situation and the threats it poses to the world we are living in. The partner schools strongly needed a transnational cooperation to promote subjects such as: green skills awareness and development, sharing best practices among teachers, promoting ecological behavior and raising the awareness in our communities. During the project period, students were all the time in the center of activities both at the local and transnational level. The partner schools aimed at active students' participation and reached it well. The educational staff and managers of the partners also cooperated with parents and NGOs to encourage the students in reaching the goals of the project. Our project wanted to provide new opportunities to the staff and students to develop their foreign language skills through working with their European peers and colleagues on the mobilities and E-Twinning platform. Learning languages enables people to both discover foreign cultures and to broaden their perspectives
