The project aimed to help students learn how to take action for a sustainable future. We wanted them to develop creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills while understanding environmental challenges. We also aimed to involve teachers and communities to raise awareness about climate issues and show how sustainability can be part of everyday learning. Another goal was to create new ways of teaching that connect business and environmental topics, so students could see how they affect each other and think about real-world problems in a practical way.
The CORE project was inspired by UN SDG 13 and the growing need to combine environmental sustainability with entrepreneurial skills. We recognized that young people lacked opportunities to develop both ecological awareness and entrepreneurial resilience simultaneously. Our aim was to create a learning environment where students could explore carbon offsetting, green business concepts, and sustainable innovation. We believed that by fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset, students would be better prepared to act as responsible citizens and future changemakers. The project addressed gaps in existing curricula and promoted cross-border collaboration to share knowledge, stimulate innovative thinking, and prepare youth for complex societal and environmental challenges.
