Objectives

By implementing this project, we aim to achieve several key goals. We strive to develop and provide materials, guides, instructions, and ready-made course templates, all available for free on the project's website. As partners of the EDaMVET project, our goal is to promote digital and mobile vocational education by creating engaging, accessible, and comprehensive digital content integrated with Moodle and H5P technology. Given that many young people primarily use mobile devices, it was essential to prioritize the optimization of materials for mobile Moodle. We offer practical examples, guides, and free support materials, as well as webinars, workshops, and short training sessions to help educators acquire the skills necessary for effective digital teaching. By promoting mobile use and digital literacy, we intend to make vocational training more flexible and interesting for students. Additionally, we strive to create scalable (i.e.suitable for mobile use) materials and models for project implementation and to strengthen cooperation within our networks.

Background

We applied for this project due to the positive experiences and feedback from our previous Digivet4all project. There is a clear need for common tips, instructions, workshops, and models to effectively use Moodle in vocational training. Similar to Digivet4all, our goal is to have a partner with limited Moodle knowledge and help them integrate the use of Moodle effectively. We also aim to assist course builders in creating more mobile-friendly and engaging materials and courses, incorporating features like gamification. Ensuring accessibility in Moodle usage is another key objective. Furthermore, we seek to enhance teachers' skills and increase students' interest and enthusiasm by utilizing new and interactive mobile platforms. It is crucial that our materials are user-friendly and accessible to special groups. Ready-made course templates offer an easy entry point for the adoption of high-quality online templates. Considering the increased prevalence of online materials and teaching in the post-Covid era, there is an ongoing need to improve the quality of materials, teaching practices, and skills.
