This project is part of a wider educational initiative to promote excellence in the STMG technology stream at Lycée Victor Schoelcher. The aim was to change the unfavourable image that pupils have of these streams by giving them real career prospects with the possibility of pursuing studies of excellence. The lycée Schoelcher is one of the oldest lycées in the Académie. The school's motto is ‘EXCELLENCE FOR ALL’ and the commitment of the management and teaching staff is to ‘do everything possible to ensure the success of our students’. Today, this general and technological high school offers education from the second year to Bac +2 with two BTS specialities: SME Management and Operational Sales Management. The school has a total of 900 pupils and students and 120 teachers. The school prepares students for the general baccalaureate with the following specialities: History, Geography, Geopolitics and Political Science - Foreign Languages, Literature and Culture - Humanities, Literature and Philosophy - Mathematics - Physics and Chemistry - Biology and Biology. It prepares students for the Science and Technology of Management baccalaureate, with 4 specialities: Marketing, Management and Finance, Information and Management Systems and Human Resources and Communication. For a number of years, the general lycée has offered an excellence module, but students in the STMG sections do not take part.
