Objectives

- Observing inclusive professional practices and methods and forms of multi-professional collaboration - Transfer multi-professional collaboration methods - Set up exchange networks for professionals and students

Background

The mobility project involved trainees (professionals in inclusive education) preparing for the Diplôme de Directeur d'établissement d'éducation adaptée et spécialisée (DDEEAS). In 80% of cases, at the end of their training, they will become (or in some cases already are) directors of a SEGPA (Section d'enseignement général et professionnel adapté), which is a facility set up within a secondary school for pupils aged between 11 and 16. One of the tasks entrusted to them is to promote inclusive education and manage appropriate assistance and support systems. Until now, however, SEGPAs in France have largely remained outside the inclusive dynamic. The main aim of this project is to give trainees the opportunity to observe innovative inclusive practices and transfer them to their professional context. In addition, the schooling of these pupils is not exclusively a matter for the national education system, as they also come under the authority of the medico-social sector. The aim was therefore to see how other European countries were implementing this collaboration.
