Well-being at school for our students depends on several factors, whether educational or pedagogical. Welcoming students in good conditions, differentiating lessons and taking each student into account as a whole is essential for the development of all of them. Such a project therefore had several objectives for us: - energize the teaching team - develop team spirit - develop new teaching practices - learn to highlight the differences of our students - draw inspiration from European practices The teaching team at Stendhal College is a relatively stable team and many have worked in the establishment for 7 years or even much more; It therefore seemed necessary to all of us to discuss our practices, to compare them with practices observed elsewhere, to get out of our zone of control and comfort. It seems essential to us not to be satisfied with what we already do or know but to try to adapt to the evolution of society and more particularly to the constant evolution of the populations of students that we welcome at the college.
Our establishment is a college located in a priority education zone. We welcome students from very disadvantaged families. Approximately 585 students are enrolled each year. One of the main axes of the establishment project is to fight against school dropouts and to adapt our teaching and educational policy to all of our students, whatever their difficulties in order to guarantee and support the success of all. In addition, we also welcome many pupils with special educational needs. In fact, our college has: - an upeaa system for students newly arrived in the territory and non-French speaking; approximately 17 students, - a ulis system for students with disabilities; approximately 17 students, - an adapted education section (segpa); around 80 students, - around thirty students benefit from an MDPH status and support with an AESH in class. It therefore seemed essential to us to develop a training project around the reception of students with special needs in order to broaden our practices and make our teaching and our support for all of our students more relevant.
