Objectives

We wanted to promote and make those "humanity majors" more attractive for the students, by leading a project that would help them understand they can also be used in concrete ways and contexts. Moreover, it felt important to both share European values and enhance the students' sense of belonging to the EU and offer and facilitate mobilities to all students throughout their years in high school.

Background

Our organization is a general, technological and vocational middle and high school in the South of France. We noticed that few of our general and technological high schoolers (and their families) were inclined to participate in mobilities, before and/or after they graduate and tend to stay in Nice. We needed a project to stimulate them, and realized a small minority knew about European instances and the EU purposes. To finish, we had just opened the "major" LLCER-AMC (English) to complement the offer in humanities (economics, and socio-politics/geopolitics), which were (and are) less popular and chosen than scientific subjects and majors.
