Since 2004, the Occitanie Region has been responsible for health and social training, and has made European mobility for students in these fields one of its priorities for improving the quality of training. To this end, it has been leading and coordinating the regional ERASMUS+ project since 2010, in cooperation with the region's training institutes. This project potentially covers 15,000 students who are required to complete compulsory internships to validate their year or state diploma. Doing an internship abroad adds considerable value to students' career paths, enabling them to acquire professional and cross-disciplinary skills in a different professional context, thereby enhancing their employability and adaptability. Today, the Region is coordinating a consortium of 26 institutes (28 by 2025) to offer mobility opportunities to all health and social training students in Occitanie, as well as to the staff of these establishments. The internationalization of training courses encourages innovation and pedagogical adaptation in a sector under great pressure, where keeping students in training is increasingly a challenge.
