Objectives

The University of Angers (UA) has been working closely with the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (TSNUK) in Ukraine since 2010 through a dual degree programme in chemistry, now part of the LUMOMAT international Master's programme, which has been awarded the University Research School (EUR) label. This partnership, which has already enabled 23 TSNUK students to benefit from this training between 2010 and 2022, was part of an ambitious internationalisation strategy aimed at welcoming more Ukrainian students and teachers and promoting cross-mobility. The Erasmus+ KA171 project was a continuation of this long-standing cooperation. It provided for the annual hosting of five Master's students as part of the double degree programme and two PhD students in joint supervision, as well as incoming and outgoing mobility for teacher-researchers and administrative staff. The initial objectives were to strengthen the double degree between the UA and TSNUK, to support the incoming mobility of Ukrainian students within the EUR LUMOMAT Master's programme, and to develop staff mobility in order to promote pedagogical innovation, the exchange of skills in organic materials chemistry and scientific cooperation.
