Our main objective with this project was to strengthen relations with the University of Tehran, which had been reactivated following the 2015 JCPoA agreement and had continued until 2021. Iran brings together geographical characteristics that align with the areas of excellence of ENPC: civil engineering, particularly geotechnics in a seismic region; environmental engineering (water access, air quality), transportation infrastructure and urbanization. By relying on Iranian professors at ENPC and UT, we therefore wished to continue welcoming students for double degrees (at least 4 per year), and to host 3 Iranian researchers from UT and the University of Shiraz, for which we would have requested an amendment to include it within the scope of the agreement.
