The ambition of the KA171 project was fully aligned with the international strategy of TBS Education and aimed to strengthen a long-term academic partnership with an African country, in particular through cooperation with Mauritius. This project followed a dual logic: on the one hand, to support the opening of our institution towards Africa and the Indian Ocean, and on the other hand, to offer students and staff a high-quality international experience that generates key skills. One of the central objectives was to promote and defend French-English bilingualism, a strategic asset for the Francophonie and for the employability of students in multicultural environments. The project also fostered pedagogical innovation through staff mobility—both academic and administrative—which enabled the exchange of practices, the development of new methods, and the integration of hybrid teaching approaches. These mobilities also encouraged entrepreneurship by promoting the co-creation of projects and the sharing of innovative practices in this field. Finally, the project built on the foundations of the France-Mauritius Studies Network (REFM), initiated by the French Embassy in 2020.
