Objectives

Our objectives in this context were : objective 1: document good practice between partner countries for managing situations of psychological fragility in an intercultural context, by proposing a range of intervention solutions : - free of charge - easy to access - predominantly non-verbal - taking into account the intercultural dimensions of interpersonal relations - easily available and updatable objective 2: To discover, exchange and practise these solutions with individual beneficiaries and with other willing practitioners in the field. objective 3: To pass on what we have learnt from our experience in the form of practical tutorials aimed at a range of people who are not familiar with mental health issues. objective 4: To experiment with the added value that can be provided by the use of immersive virtual reality practices.

Background

OVERALL CONTEXT The general context documented at the outset of the project referred to : - an explosion in the number of psychologically fragile situations, greatly amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic (depression, anxiety states, sleep disorders, stress, overwork, burn-out, isolation, etc.) - major shortcomings in the way these vulnerabilities are taken into account - a lack of psychological support tools to help overcome the language barrier - a lack of teaching aids to enable youth and social work organisations to provide support to their target groups. SPECIFIC CONTEXTS The Domoloisirs association was fully aware of this context, through : - the psychological fragility of its members and its guesthouse and personal services activities - the difficulties of local access to specific services in the field of psychological support, well-being and mental health (art therapy, health and well-being, psycho-physical practices) - the difficulty for practitioners to engage in dialogue and exchange best practice, free from commercial considerations - the lack of perspective on the intercultural diversities that these practices might encounter
