Objectives

The primary objective of the project was to revolutionise adult education by integrating cutting-edge multimedia tools and online learning methodologies. The project aimed to address the technological gap in adult education, making it more adaptable to the digital era. The goal was to create a comprehensive, accessible, and interactive educational framework. This framework was designed to empower educators with innovative teaching tools and resources, thereby enhancing the overall learning experience for adult learners. The project sought not only to facilitate easier access to education but also to elevate the quality of education, ensuring that adult learners remain engaged and motivated in their lifelong learning journey. The objectives were centered around the development of skills of the adult educators of the three partner NGOs in the area of e-learning: developing abilities to plan, design and deliver digital education (DE); to be able to address inclusion issues in DE; explore Universal Design for Learning and other tools for DE that were all compiled and included in a comprehensive toolbox.

Background

We have applied for this project as a consortium to meet our needs of improving the practices of our work in delivering online education to our target groups. Recognizing that adult education systems were not fully utilizing the potential of multimedia and online platforms, this project aimed to bridge this gap. The main needs we have addressed in this project were: - Adult educators of the 3 partner NGOs involved were struggling to deliver online education. This mean both skills related to technology and as well skills related to the use of internet tools and keeping up to date with the newest trends in digital area. - The online courses delivered had to be made appealing and also adapted to a diverse range of audience – a pressing need that our NGOs needed to solve before risking our trainings become obsolete - The need of the adult educators to develop their e-facilitation sills (facilitate online education) - The need to properly use digital tools to create learning content that is engaging - Enlarge and develop the teaching practices of the adult educators to better cater the needs of the learners
