Objectives

The Be Energetic project aims to promote a culture of healthy living across three partner countries. The main objectives are to broaden participants’ knowledge and skills around leading a balanced lifestyle, including healthy eating and regular physical exercise. It also seeks to create learning opportunities in multicultural settings, allowing students to experience international exchanges of good practices related to well-being. The project encourages participants to explore their relationship with nature and promotes eco-sports activities that link physical health with environmental consciousness. Each meeting and event within the project is structured around three specific sub-topics : nutrition, mental well-being and sport. Ultimately, the project strives to inspire and motivate young participants to take ownership of their health, laying the groundwork for sustained healthy habits.

Background

The Be Energetic project was created to address a growing concern in schools: a decline in students’ participation in physical education and an increase in unhealthy lifestyles, particularly weight gain. Each year, schools face a rising number of pupils who are reluctant to attend PE classes, and many show signs of unhealthy behaviors like poor eating habits. The project reunites three schools from France, Romania, and Turkey, and its goal is to help students adopt healthy habits and embrace active, well-rounded lifestyles. This involves not only promoting physical activity but also teaching the value of healthy eating, emotional management, and building healthy social relationships. The schools involved identified a shared need to foster better engagement in outdoor activities and address the concerning rise in physical inactivity among their students. This project has an inclusive approach that involves communities in promoting these values. By doing so, the initiative hopes to inspire young people to lead healthier, more active lives, providing a foundation for lifelong well-being.
