For the period 01.06.2022 - 31-08-2023, we planned 2 youth exchanges. WELL BEING A first project was organised in Oslo, NORWAY , from 17 to 23 February 2023. Project title WELL BEING or friluftsliv, which basically means living simply in nature, without destroying or disturbing it. Where we are staying: Oslo Youth Hostel Haraldsheim Address: Haraldsheimveien 4, 0587 Oslo, Norway https://haraldsheim.no/ Theme of the exchange: Sport and well-being VIDEO OF THE MEETING / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yqbTgclkLo Number of young people : 14 young Norwegians, including 1 who was not included because he was too young + 3 adults 14 young French people + 3 adults 14 young Spaniards + 2 adults The aims of the project - Play sports and organise traditional games in a different way. The initial idea was to practise sports activities and traditional games, but also to work on sharing and intercultural exchange. By giving the young people the opportunity to create games in small groups and to play them for others at the end of the meeting, they were able to: - Discover different cultures, - Develop mutual aid, solidarity and listening skills, - Express themselves freely, - Take into account the difficulties faced by each individual by encouraging exchanges and integrating them into the various projects, - Setting up specific times, - Offering different activities, taking into account their requests and choices, - Work on imagination and creativity, - Create activities previously chosen collectively, - Develop research and initiative. - Proposing an original intercultural project For a young Spaniard or a young person from Les Coëvrons, going to Norway is like changing planets, especially in winter. Our aim was also to introduce them to a sporting culture that is different from the one we know, but where they are also encouraged to surpass themselves, to respect themselves and their opponents, and to develop team spirit. The diversity of sports games, traditional games and their nature reflect the specificity and identity of the territories in which they exist. Taking part in activities in Norway, in the cold or in unfamiliar conditions, left us with indelible memories. We were also hoping to discover activities linked to well-being and relaxation, typical of the Nordic countries. - Nordic baths - The 'friluftsliv' or enjoying the fresh air - Relaxation and meditation NAT VENTURE ISLAND We organised a second youth exchange in Majorca, from 27 July to 6 August 2022. Thanks to this group work, we wanted to include time in the programme for this new exchange to : - encourage intercultural learning and dialogue, - develop the skills and attitudes of young people - raise awareness of social issues, particularly those relating to the environment Creating a story, a game or an animation was the tool we used to help young people to : - confront and exchange ideas - enjoy sharing their ideas and working together to co-produce the project - make their own contribution to the construction of the project - discover the value of discussion and the effectiveness of cooperation - become aware of the need to work together - get involved in the organisation and decision-making process - develop their self-esteem and evaluate themselves positively - reveal your abilities - develop skills of expression and logic - learn to adapt their language In addition to the creative work carried out by the young people, a programme of activities has been proposed in order to -discover a remarkable natural environment -understand the issues involved in preserving natural areas and the species that live there -understand the interactions between the development of tourism and its impact on the environment
