Addiction is the physical or psychological need for any substance (object). Although there are many types of addiction in the world, they are basically the same. People tend to turn to pleasurable things to get rid of negative emotions. Alcohol, cigarette, drugs, technology addiction are the most important factors that trigger this sense of pleasure. Among these factors, substance addiction is the most common in the world. In addition, substance addiction is classified as a disease by the World Health Organization. The report prepared by the European Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) in late 2019; says that synthetic drug production has increased in Europe. This report reported that across the EU, 18 million young people (aged 15 to 34) reported marijuana, cocaine; It reveals that 3 million young people use MDMA and Amphetamines. The high numbers in the EU make it necessary to develop projects and raise awareness in this field. This rate is dangerous for European youth. Because addictions acquired at a young age affect our whole lives. The most important aim of our project was to raise this awareness at a young age. Because the majority of young people in Europe do not have sufficient awareness about addiction. The reason for this is that addictive and pleasurable substances affect the mental health of young people and cause distortions in their thinking. . Raising awareness of young people about addiction has also been the main topic of this project. During the project, participants were informed about the diagnosis of addiction, ways of protection from addiction, the effects of addiction on psychology and body, empathising with addicted individuals and what to do when they are addicted. The goals that we addressed during and after the project process; * To promote the quality of youth work through institutions in the youth field * Providing information exchange among the participants about common substance addiction * Understanding the impact of substance addiction on youth psychology * Raising awareness of young people with the experiences of former substance addicts * To encourage young people to participate in sports and art activities and to eliminate substance addiction. * Showing the effect of family and friends on substance addiction, * Finding the basis of addiction, discovering the reasons for addictive substance use and producing solutions, * To enable young people to get to know and learn about different cultures and to strengthen the sense of mutual understanding among young people * Minimizing any prejudice and discrimination against addicted people * Ensuring that participants have easy access to quality services for prevention, early diagnosis, support, treatment, and care * Supporting the participation of disadvantaged participants in the life * To popularize active citizenship. * Awareness and promotion of Erasmus + programs and Youthpass certification will be ensured. The priorities of the Erasmus + Program and the priority goals of our project are fully consistent. The goals and priorities are as follows. * To promote mutual understanding through dialogue among young people around the world * Support in combating prejudice and developing cross-cultural awareness * Helping the integration and spread of healthy life, to support the active participation of young people in society * To encourage young people to volunteer in developing countries or to volunteer in development/development issues in their own countries. * Supporting the integration of young people's current concerns into the employment strategy The following needs were met by the host organisation and stakeholders.
