Objectives

The project is part of a cycle of youth exchange projects initiated since 1998 by the Romanian and French partners, and later Latvia and Italy joined the project. All of them aim to bring together young Europeans for the purpose of cultural discovery and learning. The three main objectives of the project are 1. to raise the awareness of young people and the inhabitants of the Niraj Valley territory about the value of natural heritage 2. to involve young people in practical learning that enhances the value of natural heritage, which can become an inexhaustible and therefore sustainable development resource through its valorisation in slow tourism 3. to make the public (spectator) actor: to generate in young people and local inhabitants a change of mentality that leads them to an attitude of conscious and active citizen in society. Participants will be involved as actors in a micro-regional development initiative that promotes active participation in community life, encourages young people to discover regenerative local resources, pushes young people towards interaction with local communities and young people from other EU countries.
