Objectives

Through this project, we offered young people a resilient and optimistic vision of the future with tools inspired by permaculture to help them navigate their future. Our intention was to introduce young people to a resilient and eco-responsible approach, by promoting dialogue, solidarity, tolerance in the face of differences, listening, self-expression, emotional intelligence and active involvement in the group. The objective of this “mobility” meeting was to offer participants an ecological and optimistic vision of the future through self-knowledge and trust in the collective, thanks to the “Life Design” method. Indeed, this method allows you to have a systemic vision of your environment (individual, social, family, professional, etc.), to create synergies, to apply the principles of observing ecosystems in nature, including human behavior, and thus be clearer in its objectives and positions for its present and future. In short, we wanted to “empower” young people about their choices and their ability to undertake the future. By carrying out this project, we offered tools to develop the skills and abilities of trainees so that they can calmly approach their future despite the ecological, climatic and health difficulties that the world is currently experiencing. Thus, we chose to offer these young people the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature by living in tents, with the vagaries of the weather. In this context, they learned to observe their own functioning, functioning of nature, and how to be flexible in the face of unforeseen circumstances. The lesson space is deliberately chosen in the forest so that they can immerse themselves in nature and develop their sensory sensitivity through contact with the elements (landscape, sound of birds, sensation of the wind, the earth, heat,…). Thus, the very fact of learning while being immersed in a forest becomes an activity in itself and encourages people to practice eco-responsible everyday actions. This natural environment is also an inspiring and rejuvenating element for understanding their project. In addition, this project aims to develop the participants' ability to move from ideas to action and to find their role to play in the collective sphere. This is how the “Life Design” theme aims to empower young people in their learning. No activity is obligatory and no one will be able to carry out the design in place of the person concerned. To do this, we designed the project around mutual aid, cooperation and participation in daily activities, in addition to activities focused on the key skills of self-knowledge, confidence and self-esteem. . . Furthermore, the objective of this mobility is to learn to gain perspective and find peace in your daily life. Our desire is to enable young people to acquire benchmarks, to become aware of their abilities and their limits, to dare to take initiatives, to express their creativity, to live to the rhythm of nature and in contact with its elements. . Thanks to this life experience, they left more confident in their ability to be flexible and adapt to unforeseen events.
