This project stems from the desire of a group of young French people residing in a disadvantaged district of the city of Valence (France) and wishing to carry out a humanitarian action towards young people from a country other than their own. After working with them on the notions of solidarity, helping relationship, interculturality and reciprocity, we considered an exchange with interested young Moroccans and members of our long-standing partner association: Amuddu Chantiers sans frontières. Together, we considered the development of a project with the following objectives: - Giving meaning and materiality to the notion of commitment, citizenship and solidarity - Acquiring new skills (Management of a project abroad, getting involved, gaining autonomy, debating, deciding) - Learn to be an actor by having an active posture favoring the taking of initiatives, decision-making and by measuring the impacts - Gain self-esteem, measure what you are capable of, feel proud to have taken part in a common project - Live a unique experience contributing to change your outlook on the notion of culture and your life and on the lives of others by comparing the different lifestyles and the reality of youth here and there - Share the strong moments experienced with other young people from each of the 2 structures in order to arouse the desire to get involved in this type of project. - Promote international cooperation between associations - Share points of view, know the Other, promote diversity, intercultural richness
