By implementing the Local Changemakers for Sustainable Developments (LCSD), we aimed to achieve the following: 1. Foster a better understanding of sustainability and ecotourism among young people, creating a generation that values and adopts sustainable practices in their daily lives; 2. Address the negative impacts of mass tourism by promoting ecotourism as a sustainable alternative, encouraging its development in participating countries; 3. Support local communities in creating and implementing ecotourism initiatives, diversifying their tourism offerings and mitigating the adverse effects of mass tourism; 4. Empower young people to become change-makers within their communities, advocating for sustainable behaviors and practices; 5. Facilitate international cooperation and exchange of best practices among the participating countries, fostering long-term partnerships and collaborative efforts towards sustainability. The objectives of the Sustainable Futures project were as follows: 1. To promote sustainability as a set of ideas and approaches among youngsters; 2. To raise awareness about ecotourism as an alternative to mass tourism in all four participating countries; 3. To provide participants with basic knowledge and skills to elaborate on new ecotourism products; 4. To create an innovative ecotourism product in the local community; 5. To promote the Erasmus+ programme and Youthpass certificate.
