The main idea behind this project was to promote new forms of leadership that include values such as inclusion, sustainability and soft skills: to create new leaders and activists for the environment who help transition to a greener planet. The project was born as an idea requested by the participants in previous trainings carried out by Regain. Participants to other trainings wanted to learn how to be leaders or facilitators and how to implement activities with young people and run their own sessions and projects. They wanted to learn new leadership techniques and tools to work with groups that would allow them to become respectful, creative and environmentally aware youth leaders. The aim was to carry out an essentially practical project; a 'laboratory' in which young people from different countries could learn about existing leadership styles and experience that role themselves. Thus, they would enhance qualities such as empathy, influence, integrity and entrepreneurial spirit among many others. An important objective when creating this project was the search to create a network of organizations and young people interested in creating projects on sustainability in the future. Young participants are expected to empower themselves and develop their own initiatives internationally with their peers and on a local level in their communities.SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES ° Train leadership qualities of young people to develop Erasmus+ KA1 projects. ° Explore leadership skills and resources related to the environment, art, culture, rural development and youth participation. º Discover new skills, resources and methodologies applicable in youth work projects. ° Promote self-knowledge, the encounter with different cultures and the development of the individual and collective potential of participants. ° Foster the creation of a safe space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences. ° Promote gender equality by creating a space for reflection and work on female leadership. ° Stimulate relations between participants to create networks that allow carrying out projects on various topics: leadership, gender equality, environment, etc. ° Introduce emotional intelligence and group work tools: principles of conflict resolution, deep-listening and emotional management for youth leadership. º Provide different tools to be a facilitator or trainer in a group of young people: educational games, strategies to unite the group, empathetic forms of communication, group dynamics, etc.
