"BodyMind" was a seven-day training program that focused on giving youth workers the tools they needed to increase the quality of their work, innovation, creativity, active engagement and well-being using embodied learning, embodied cognition, and body movement kinaesthetic techniques. COVID-19 world epidemic state has swept the world putting new challenges for the whole civic society and youth sector as well. COVID-19 has scuppered all plans and educational programs, forcing a dramatic reimagination of plans for the future and values of every person on earth. Lots of youth workers after the pandemic crisis were reporting issues in their work and daily practice such as lack of active participation, motivation and creativity. They were in search of methods that would help them upgrade the quality of their work, find more inclusive methods and improve theirs and their participants' mental health. Therefore, we organized this project to provide them with tools that would positively affect the quality of their work, based on their identified needs and their mental health. The specific objectives of BodyMind training course were: - To empower youth through embodied learning and body movement. - To provide a theoretical background of embodied learning, embodied cognition and pedagogy through experiential learning and its influence on mental health. - To provide participants tools of emotional well-being (including dance therapy, art and music therapy techniques, mindfulness and body movement). - To promote participant's creativity, spirit of initiative as well as peer learning and peer support. - To support participants to develop new methodological tools in order to upgrade the quality of their youth and educational work and practice. - To create a safe and creative space for young people in order to understand themselves better, their emotions and the way they can connect with others deeply - To develop youth workers' competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) and resources for working with people with fewer opportunities and facing difficulties (inclusive dancing), through body movement techniques and non formal education methods. - To provide a theoretical background of different kinds of inner processes that a person can go through during and after the confinement in the COVID-19 crisis as well as to provide different tools for those who work with young people affected by the COVID-19 crisis. - To inform participants about the ERASMUS+ Programme as a valuable opportunity for learning and personal and professional growth. - To promote networking among participants so that they can plan further new projects under this topic or others connected with Erasmus+ and young people's well-being. The objectives were clearly linked with the objectives of the Erasmus + Programme in the field of youth. Our project was strongly promoting the importance of mental health, social inclusion, youth work importance and personal development of youth workers. As the project was addressed to organizations from both Program Countries and Eastern Partnership, it enhanced international cooperation.
