Objectives

The project "Youth committed to inclusion!" implemented in 2022 by the RNJA had the objective of concretizing the proposals resulting from a structured dialogue in 2021 with the youth of the Network, to accompany the increase in competences of the youth of the Network on the themes of racism and sexism, to value and accompany the realization of projects of Juniors Associations on these themes. The first objective was to concretize some of the proposals of the White Paper, an advocacy document written by members of Juniors Associations and the RNJA in the framework of a structured dialogue project. Among the proposals made were to train and inform about gender discrimination and to support minors who engage in this issue. Extract from the White Paper: "In the same way, it could be opportune to solicit certain Junior Associations and associations under the law of 1901 of minors who have chosen to take an interest in and be trained on these themes, to participate in times of exchange. The second objective was to accompany the increase in competences of the members of the Junior Associations on racist and sexist inequalities and discriminations: as an association of popular education accompanying many young people in their path of commitment, the RNJA wished to arrange a space of concrete participation, training, exchanges with decision-makers and experts which will be continued by an action. To do this, the RNJA built a diversity of approaches to the subjects in terms of both content and form, by mobilizing popular education tools. The third objective was to accompany the realization of projects of Junior Associations on the themes of racism and sexism. In order to do so, the RNJA proposed to the young participants to use their own experience of commitment in Junior Association and the awareness-raising times proposed by the RNJA to identify the formats of awareness-raising tools that they would like to design and use.
