The "Educathon Fight Against Discriminations in Sport field" project is the fruit of two observations made by ANESTAPS. The first is the lack of recognition and consideration given to the voice of young people in public debate, whether on policies that affect them directly or on more general social issues. The second is that today, young people express their citizenship and commitment primarily through social issues. The primary aim of our project was therefore to encourage young people to participate as citizens, and above all to enable them to be heard and legitimized, through concrete demands made to political decision-makers. We therefore decided to take up the theme of the fight against discrimination, a major issue and a vector of commitment for young people today, and to combine it with the expertise we've been developing over the past 20 years on all issues relating to sport in France. The aim was to work together to find solutions that would make sporting activities and competitions, at all levels, accessible to all, without distinction made or based on discriminatory remarks or acts, but also to use sport as a lever to raise awareness of the fight against to the fight against discrimination, and to make players in the sporting world protagonists in inclusion and the fight against discrimination. We wanted to reach out to young people from all walks of life, political decision-makers, institutions and expert associations. In short, our project aimed to : - Raise young people's awareness of the fight against discrimination in sport. - Engage young people in reflection and debate on a current social issue, and thus build strong positions for young people. - Bring out the imagination, ideas and creativity of each young person, using an adapted teaching methodology. - Provide a forum for exchange and confrontation between young people and political decision-makers. - Give young people the opportunity to publicly express their views.
