The Sensibilis'Actions project consisted of a series of participative workshops, structured as action-debates, designed to gradually encourage participants to express their views on topical issues at local, national and European level, and to “make sense of their citizenship on several scales”. This involved exchanges with young people from towns of less than 100,000 inhabitants (peripheral and rural areas), with varied socio-economic profiles, to encourage a diversity of opinions. The project aimed to encourage them to get involved in their communities and build proposals on current issues. It thus aimed to reinforce the formation of a critical mind, promote intercultural dialogue, encourage democratic participation and stimulate the civic engagement of young people within their communities on several scales. In other words, the aim of the Sensibilis'Actions project was to give young people the means to better understand the society around them, so that they can contribute to it as active, enlightened and responsible citizens, and thus facilitate their social and professional integration in an ever-changing context. The aim was also to strengthen cooperation between the socio-educational structures and the local decision-makers and players in civic debate involved in the project. In addition, the Sensibilis'actions project was in line with the priorities of European youth issues: 1. First and foremost, the project was in line with the priorities defined in the context of the European youth dialogue, by mobilizing, connecting and empowering young people. It aimed to enable young people to discover and use the levers of civic participation, adopting an inclusive logic. The project also contributed to strengthening young people's ability to inform and express themselves, by enabling the mobility of young people involved in the project across Europe and promoting digital spaces. 2. The Sensibilis'actions project has also encouraged intercultural sharing by promoting the diversity of young Europeans. It aligned itself with the 11 objectives for youth, promoting information and constructive dialogue, offering spaces and opportunities for participation for all, and connecting the European Union with young people. The aim was to encourage direct dialogue with decision-makers and give young people a voice in European issues. 3. It was also in line with the objectives of the Erasmus+ program, focusing on strengthening the democratic participation of young people by organizing Particip'action, Convers'action, Dissémin'action days, and European meetings. These events aimed to enable young people to gain a better understanding of democratic institutions and establish a direct dialogue with political and social decision-makers and players, thus fostering their civic involvement. It promoted diversity and the inclusion of all young people in democratic life, and paid particular attention to young people from different geographical or socio-economic backgrounds, to ensure fair representation and participation. 4. The project also contributed to the integration of young people by focusing on the development of valued key skills. It aimed to equip young people with the skills needed to decipher information, cultivate a critical mind, boost their self-confidence, adapt to changing challenges, foster intercultural dialogue, express their opinions, get involved in their community and take positive action as part of a team. 5. Finally, the project also aimed to democratize digital practices to strengthen the connection of geographically remote young people, but also their participation through new digital participative spaces enabling them to get involved on a local, national and European scale.
