Our project aimed to promote inclusive and ecological aspects in line with the Sustainable Development Goals supported by the association. It was particularly aimed at young people in rural and peri-urban areas, who are often excluded from international mobility and Erasmus+ programs, due to linguistic, cultural and financial barriers. In 2019, the Landes department was a "white zone" in terms of mobility, but a survey revealed that 90% of young people wanted to travel in safety, learn languages and open their minds. The association wanted to launch an information campaign to raise awareness among these young people and show them that international travel is possible even on a limited budget, while promoting green mobility. The project also aimed to turn participants into ambassadors for their entourage and peers, by promoting the Erasmus+ Youth mobility programs and the DiscoverEU eco-friendly mobility program among young people in the Landes region. Our objectives were as follows: O1_Sensitize to global and priority values to develop a fairer and more serene future world: ecological awareness, highlighting the SDGs, promoting green mobility. O2_Renforce active European citizenship: promote the opportunities offered by Europe, value other cultures, other societies, belonging to the European Union, discovery of new cultures, analysis of different practices (societies, peers), raise awareness of common European values become involved in a project contribute to the process of better understanding what Europe is, but also of European inclusion, of being a European citizen, raise the profile of the Erasmus+ program, the Discover EU program and the Interrail scheme. O3_Inclusion and opportunities : give mobility opportunities to our main target audience, from rural and suburban areas, or even priority neighborhoods, who often face economic, cultural and/or social difficulties. enable young people to play an active role in their own projects, promote Erasmus + projects among young people in the Landes region provide support for mobility projects, alleviate fears linked to "going abroad" and enable young people to envisage new possibilities and perspectives for their future (academic and professional), enable everyone to discover different worlds, societies and ways of doing things/being that take them out of their comfort zone. O4_Reducing stereotypes and prejudice : combat prejudice against oneself and others, promote self-confidence, give responsibility, regardless of participants' backgrounds, reduce apprehension about travel and others, reduce prejudice against young people (i.e. those who are not active or committed). O5_Renforcement of individual/group, formal and informal skills : soft skills: autonomy, empathy, group decision-making, consensus, conflict prevention and resolution, empowerment, self-confidence, confidence in others, participation, ecological awareness and openness to others, creativity, teamwork/projects, for example. hard skills: budget management, language learning, improving English, more skills related to the SDGs, digital (social networks, applications, platforms, WIPSEE application), organizational, analytical. creation of promotional and souvenir materials by and for young people. O6_Effective completion of all mobility programs Send 30 18-year-olds on accompanied mobility programs. send 5 18-year-olds on individual mobility programs: the initial objective was to send 8 young people on individual mobility programs. However, due to recruitment difficulties and the fears shared by some parents/young people about going off on their own at the age of 18. Only 5 of these mobilities were successful. It should be noted, however, that these mobilities had a significant impact on the participants.
