Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to improve the digital and linguistic competences of teachers and students, modernize the curriculum for geodesy and geoinformatics technicians, and integrate geodesy into other professional occupations for which we educate students in our institution. The existing curricula did not follow modern technological trends, and there is no plan to ensure professional practice. Geodesy is a key element in the agricultural sector (forestry, veterinary medicine, agriculture). The implementation makes easier the processing and application of data in order to improve existing production and business processes as well as the use of data collected by an unmanned aerial vehicle. These are key factors in the planning and implementation of most agrotechnical procedures. Detailed and regularly updated data contribute to more efficient planning of work operations, saving labor resources and time, product quality, and reducing the burden on the environment, which is what we wanted to achieve.

Background

Our institution provides education in the sectors of agriculture (agricultural technician, agrotourism technician, agricultural technician phytopharmacologist, florist, gardener, agricultural machinery mechanic), chemistry and food technology (nutritionist technician, food technician), veterinary medicine (veterinary technician) and forestry (forestry technician), and provides adult education, all of whose programs are networked in such a way that all students/participants acquire and implement their theoretical and practical knowledge on the 70-hectare school farm, where they need the knowledge and skills of the newest and most attractive program, surveying technician, because is the newest and most attractive program that is at the service of all educational sectors in the school. This program connects modern, fast-growing technologies in the fields of geodesy and geoinformatics with traditional activities. That's why the institution strives to provide the student/participant with a modern curriculum that will give them a worker who not only acquires knowledge, but is also a creator of smart and modern solutions in the digital race of the 21st century.
