With this project we continued to promote inclusiveness, increase the employability of our pupils by developing professional knowledge and skills, knowledge of foreign language, encouraging independence, readiness for change, acceptance and respect for diversity. Besides, to increase entrepreneurial spirit and for the participants to accept entrepreneurship as one of the possible forms of self-actualization we chose only small companies to carry out the internship. We encourage the development of tolerance and other values of the European Union both among the participants and in the environment, considering that the participants, by spreading positive attitudes, become ambassadors of change. Teachers directly involved in project implementation improve their skills and competencies such as project management, practical curriculum organization and communication skills. All this encourages changes, both in the school and in the environment, and affects the increase in the school’s attractiveness.
This project is a continuation of the school's project activities to stimulate change in the environment which is needed due to: a) weak economic development and weak entrepreneurial spirit, due to which the pupils come from families of weaker financial status with low incomes below the Croatian average, let alone European average, and it also does not provide them with job security or the possibility of professional training b) multi-ethnicity with still pronounced consequences of the Homeland War on coexistence, mutual tolerance and understanding of different ethnic groups c) decrease in the number of inhabitants. In these circumstances the primary mission of the school is to contribute to changes in overall trends as well as in the challenges of the area through the empowerment of participants, both professionally and personally, so that they can contribute to a gradual change in the environment. We started with the school's first Erasmus+ project Time to Change (2020-1-HR01-KA102-077462), and with this project we continued to contribute to the empowerment of project participants as well as to changing the way of thinking of both participants and, indirectly, the entire environment.
