We wanted to obtain quality vocational practice, real connection with the labour market in the EU and students' training for quality employment and further education, increase in interest in the School with the senior elementary students when applying to high schools, and higher possibilities for the vocational and personal improvement as well as the development within the outcomes of the citizenship education. We wanted to broaden students' worldviews and enrich personal attitudes regarding multiculturalism, open-mindedness in society, and acceptance of diversities. We also wanted to improve multilingualism. Furthermore, we wanted to create more activities through the school lessons, a better working atmosphere in the School, higher students' motivation, more quality practice, better chances for employment and further education, and hence enable the students to become more active participants within their local and broader community.
Since 1993 our school has been an educational institution for Road Traffic Technicians (t.), Motor Vehicle Drivers, T. for Postal and Financial Service, Deck Cadets, and since 2020 Yacht and Marina T. In accordance with the needs and the highest national laws and international standards in vocational education and business, we have permanently and systematically improved activities within. MV drivers-students usually have lower elementary school success, but they are eager to practice their skills and hence find a good job. The other students' success ranges from 3 to 5 and they are equally eager to work afterward and to continue their education. Sea traffic is more interesting to the students from the county's coastal areas. Their backgrounds vary, so there are students with fewer possibilities that we esp. encouraged to apply for this project. Our vocational school system, which offers little chance for practice, made us apply for the project, and we wanted to enforce our connection with the developed labour market, too. Erasmus+ vocational and life experience helps students to acquire the skills needed in the labour market and enables them to play an active role in society and feel personally fulfilled.
