The University of Zagreb (UNIZG) aims to motivate a larger number of domestic and foreign students and staff to engage in internationalisation. Cooperation with our partners and the realised mobilities act as a tool in integrating international and intercultural dimension into our institution and in our own study programmes. We envisioned a project impact that would provide valuable opportunities for our students and staff for excelling in studies, teaching and work and as members of our society, as well as for our faculties/academies. As part of the university alliance UNIC, https://www.unic.eu/en, UNIZG aims to achieve additional mobility numbers. Based on the interest of our faculties/academies for BIPs, we also launched this new Erasmus+ activity in the 1st project year of the KA131. Through this project, we also planned to open possibilities of cooperation with HEIs from third countries not associated to the Programme (International Opening) but in limited capacities due to global circumstances (Covid pandemic) which largely reduced possibilities of travel before 2023/24 to the countries outside the EU and rendered practically impossible to realize long-term student mobilities that are planned at least 6 months in advanced.
