The project aimed to foster international cooperation and enhance both student and staff development through mobility opportunities, particularly within the Erasmus+ program. A key focus was on providing international exposure to students, enabling them to gain new knowledge, language skills, intercultural competencies, and a broader global perspective. The program was designed to foster adaptability, problem-solving skills, and enhance employability by offering opportunities to gain practical experience in an international context. This experience not only improves their professional skills and confidence but also helps them build networks and better navigate the transition to employment. For students, the mobility program facilitated both long-term and short-term exchanges. The latter was particularly emphasized to support participants with fewer opportunities. For instance, short-term mobilities were prioritized to encourage broader participation, especially from students facing diverse socio-economic challenges. By doing so, the project actively supported inclusion and aimed to lower the barriers for students who might otherwise face difficulties in participating in international experiences. University North ensured that students from underrepresented backgrounds were well-informed about the possibility of receiving additional financial support, including top-up grants for green travel and students with fewer opportunities. In addition to the mobility programs, the university implemented various initiatives such as the first International Days, which were introduced to promote the Erasmus+ program and create a platform for knowledge exchange between local and international participants. The International Days events included workshops, lectures, and discussions aimed at raising awareness of the benefits of mobility, sharing success stories, and encouraging more students and staff to take part in the program. On the staff side, the project contributed to capacity building by facilitating knowledge and experience exchange between academic and non-academic staff. This exchange fostered the sharing of good practices and innovative teaching methods, which were subsequently implemented at University North. Staff mobilities were instrumental in supporting the professional development of participants, improving their language skills, and expanding their cooperation networks. Additionally, these opportunities contributed to increased job satisfaction by enabling staff to bring fresh ideas into their teaching and administration roles. As a result, they were better equipped to contribute to curriculum development and foster innovation within their respective fields. Moreover, the project supported the university’s strategic goals by integrating green travel initiatives, encouraging participants to opt for eco-friendly transportation methods, and promoting sustainable practices during mobilities. These actions aligned with the institution's broader commitment to sustainability and responsible participation in international exchange programs. Overall, the project successfully met its objectives by increasing both student and staff participation in international mobility, supporting the inclusion of participants with fewer opportunities, and strengthening international academic networks. The impact extended beyond the individuals who participated, as the exchange of knowledge and skills contributed to the university's ongoing development and its global presence. Through these efforts, University North ensured that the benefits of the Erasmus+ program reached a diverse and wide-reaching group of participants, furthering its mission of fostering academic excellence and international cooperation.
