Project 2022-1-HR01-KA131-HED-000068021 lasted 26 months, from June 1, 2022. until 31.07.2024. Our main goal was to continue the continuity in the mobility of students and staff during the most demanding period for our polytechnic. Namely, with the change of government in the city of Zagreb, PVZG got a new administrative council, which found itself in a difficult situation due to the poor financial management of the Polytechnic in the previous period. In addition, almost half of the team has left, and so far we have somehow managed to patch up the most deficient areas due to fewer employees and limited financial opportunities. During this project, we still had an unfavorable student structure (mainly part-time students) that had a low demand for mobilities. As a result of the above, the result is poor use of approved funds. Another objective was to improve the areas suggested by the National Agency in the previous report, which was successful. Third, the project enabled the continuation of internationalization activities at the Zagreb University of Business, which is one of the institution's main strategic goals. In the end, together with the use of other funds from projects in KA131, KA171 and K2, we managed to advance our internationalization efforts and ensure the continuity of our internationalization strategy. Summa summarum, there were certain setbacks due to personnel changes, the effect of the post-pandemic period and the continuation of the crisis due to the war in Ukraine. On a positive note, towards the end of the project, the structure of enrolled students began to change rapidly, and the Polytechnic under the new leadership stabilized work through better financial management, which required large cuts in expenditures, especially salaries and marketing. Now we have a slight growth achieved with a smaller team and free direct marketing achieves better results than larger marketing budgets. Also, by changing the leadership of our founder of the People's Open University, whose founder is the city of Zagreb, we are planning certain synergies and additional cuts in costs with the goal of optimization. I stopped being an Erasmus coordinator when I joined the administrative council and parted ways with the vice-dean at the time, only to become vice-dean and Erasmus coordinator again after some time because no one had experience in this. I took it upon myself to ensure that the organization does not suffer and to ensure continuity, but the problems at the level of the institution were accumulated and more severe in the period of the last year and a half, and more important to solve for the survival of the institution, which I had to solve through my new role in the administrative council with colleagues. I hope that in the near future we will employ someone in international cooperation, because it is an additional stream of income that is not negligible.
