Objectives

The goals of our trainings and youth exchanges are connected through the "base" - expression and art. During the implementation of the CREATIVE THERAPIES IN YOUTH WORK training, the goals were (1) To experience a series of exercises from the domain of art, i.e. the field of fine arts, dance and movement, so that each participant would begin to understand the possibilities of applying such work in their daily work. The goal that should be stated is (2) the development of motivation through a personal, deeply positive experience for the further use of such work methods for the holistic development of the individual through the connection of the body, emotions, mind and the expansion of such an approach and beyond, as well as (3) the acquisition of specific competencies through offered tools and approaches that the participants will be able to (4) include in their daily work and the work of the organizations they come from and continue to actively contribute to the further development of this innovative approach together with partners through new activities in the future. Considering that the activity was carried out in Croatia, (5) we introduced them to the challenges that we encounter since the approach is not sufficiently widespread, but also to an example of good practice from Croatia in terms of influencing the introduction of this type of work in strategic documents and greater visibility of the area on all levels. READY, STEADY, ART! the youth exchange focused on enabling the participants to express themselves through art, because art enables them to better process and cope with emotions, to understand the environment, opens up space for new ways of thinking and new solutions to various difficulties, and individuals can connect with others through common creating art. The goal was during the nine-day activity to acquire and develop interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and expression, Awareness of different ways of learning and the competence to learn how to learn, and even digital competences. Training for people who work with young people, SHEROES, had a very specific goal, which is to increase the resilience of people who work with young people in very specific living conditions. The goal of the training was to increase resilience and more successful coping with stress as an important topic that needs to be put as much as possible in the forefront of working with young people, while giving them suitable tools that will help them cope with all kinds of situations as well as possible, from natural disasters to everything to the challenges they will find themselves in due to any differences and difficulties that young people face (gender, nationality or other affiliation, level of education, lifestyle choices, career and family balance, and more).
