As written in application form of the project - objectives were developing green skills and sustainability skills among young people and raising awareness about these important issues wider in local communities of young people involved and on wider level through follow-up projects of participants and dissemination activities done by UKE and partners. We aimed at developing practical skills to cope with the issues of environment and pollution, on individual level by changing habits, implementing learned ways of doing stuff in daily life that are less harmful for the environment and health, and spreading the impact wider through sharing the learned among friends, colleagues, peers, friends. Youth exchange was planned in cooperation with our partners from 4 different countries, gathering 25 young people (4 from each country with a team leader), we wanted to give them opportunity to learn in practical way, through non-formal and informal learning methods in a supportive international environment, showing them what is possible, how to implement more green, more sustainable practices in different aspects of their daily lives and encourage them to spread the impact of the project among their peers and in their local communities. We also wanted to strengthen cooperation with our partners and impact the work of each involved organization and wider, other NGOs and stakeholders that we reach through dissemination activities, to be more sustainable, in the terms of responsible use of energy, goods, sustainable choices in our everyday work. We wanted to promote environmentally responsible behavior and give young people hands on experience on the steps to sustainability in their daily lives. We wanted to empower young people, by gaining these important skills together with other key competences they would have a chance to develop during this project, so they would be more positive, enthusiastic, initiative, raising their sense for active citizenship and their willingness to socially engage. We also planned to include minimum 10 young people with fewer opportunities in the project to give a chance to ones with less opportunities to be involved and provide an environment, space where young people have a chance to meet different young people, with different challenges in life, developing understanding, tolerance, empathy.
